History

Christ Church Greensboro is a church plant of Friendly Hills Church, PCA, located in Jamestown, NC. The elders of Friendly Hills began to discuss plans for a Greensboro church plant in the summer of 2009. Jeff Miller had served as Associate Pastor of Friendly Hills since 2000. Jeff felt called to church planting. The elders of Friendly Hills, in conjunction with the local presbytery, sent Jeff and his wife, Holly, to the denomination's Church Planter Assessment Center in Atlanta that summer. The denomination strongly recommended Jeff for church planting. Along with the elders, Jeff prayed and began to discuss a specific vision for providing a welcoming environment for people at all stages of interest in Jesus. Five of the elders joined Jeff to pursue the beginning of the new church, along with a core group of individuals and families from Friendly Hills. After much prayer and labor, the facility on W. Smith Street was secured for lease and renovation began in January of 2011. Christ Church Greensboro held its first worship service on June 26, 2011.
